In addition to the Core Fulbright awards, two UT faculty members were selected as senior Fulbright specialists to undertake a short-term project in a foreign country in 2012. The Fulbright Specialist Program, the US Department of State’s flagship international exchange program, links US academics and professionals to their counterparts around the world.

Davis, Cindy
Associate professor, College of Social Work, was named a senior Fulbright specialist. She spent June 25, 2012, through July 24, 2012, at two institutions in the Malaysian region of the Island of Borneo in the South China Sea.

Swan, Sam
Professor, School of Journalism and Electronic Media, was selected in the summer 2012 and asked to teach a two-week workshop on TV news reporting at the University of Zagreb in Croatia in December 2012.
